To Ruth Abee, her family and fellow Combat Controllers, With deep regret I say farewell to a Combat Controller with whom I served with for a lot of years.  Like Skip Arnold, I also served with Charlie at many locations starting at Sewart AFB in 1956.  Additionally, we were both former Marines and brother Masons.  From the way Charlie lived his life I am certain that at the end of his journey he was rewarded with the refrain "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter now into the joy of the Lord".
