My condolences go out to Ruth and the family. Charlie was one of the nicest and one of the most qualified Combat Controllers I ever worked with - and we worked together a lot. We both started at Sewart in 1956, then were together in Japan and Okinawa in 60-62, Vietnam in 67, and the Combat Control School at both Sewart and Little Rock in
68-71. He was a true professional and one of the most loyal and dedicated teammates I ever had. During all the years, almost 50, since we first met, it has been my privilege to call Charlie Abee my friend. I will miss him.
