Entered Into Eternal Rest

Charles Drew, age 67, Nashville, TN  passed away of natural causes on 
April   1, 2001.  “Charlie” served  our great nation as a Combat control 
Team Member from 1956 to 1972.  He served from ’56-’60 at Sewart AFB, 
’60-’61  with the 5th Aerial Port SQ in France, ’61-’66 with the 3rd  Aerial Port SQ,
Pope AFB, ’66-’71 with the 9th Aerial Port SQ at  Forbes AFB and ’71-’72 with 
the 8th Aerial Port SQ RSVN.  Charlie retired from CCT as a Senior Master  
Sergeant in 1972 and was a member of the CCA.   Like so many from the early 
days of CCT, Charlie epitomized the  quintessential Combat Controller.  With  
his passing, we see another “legend” join those who have gone before. All Rights Reserved.
