Gary Harper Gary Harper, age 75, of Harborcreek, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Pittsburgh.

He was born December 21, 1934 in Wesleyville, son of the late Thomas W. and Dorothy A. Diehl Harper. Gary was a 1952 graduate of Harbor Creek High School. He retired after 20 years of service from the U.S. Air Force in 1973.

Gary had served in the Vietnam War where he had been awarded a Bronze Star with Valor in the Battle of Khe Sanh, the Air Medal, the Accommodation Medal, and was a Master Parachutist with over 100 jumps.

He was a member of American Legion Carl Neff Post #571. Gary is survived by his sister, Susan Bossart (husband, David) and his brother, Neil T. Harper all of Harborcreek; many nieces and nephews.

Gary was laid to rest at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery with Military Honors being rendered. All Rights Reserved.
