Mr. Jack D. McConnell -- Born December 29, 1937 a native of Theodore, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL for most of his life died Saturday, March 13, 2004 in Conehatta, MS where he lived for the past 10 years.

Jack was a graduate of Theodore High School where he was voted 'Best Dressed', Best Looking and Most likely to be 'swooned over'.  He was on the football and basketball teams.  He received and Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force in 1962 and retired from Scott Paper Company after 35+ years of dedicated service.  An avid golfer, he was a member of Skyline Country Club for 20+ years and the past 10 years a member of Forest Country Club in Mississippi.

Mr. McConnell was preceded in death by his father, Charles 'Murray' McConnell; one sister, Juanita 'Nita' Clark and one granddaughter, Savannah Lynn Scott.  He is survived by his daughters that cherish him, Angie M. (Robby) Young, Robin M. (Mike) Wade and Dana M. (Vince) Scott; four grandchildren, David W. Scott, Jr., Grant M. Young, Carly M. Phillips and Jack Andrew Phillips; one great-granddaughter, Krysten Scott; his mother, Inez M. McConnell; brother and best friend, Charles J. 'Jimmy' McConnell; brother, Pat McConnell; sister, Nan Grey O'Neal; and many nieces, nephews and a world of friends.
