William L. Swope, Sr. of Bloomington, CA, age 75, passed away Sept. 8, 2005.  William was born in South Bend, Indiana and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Beatrice; 6 children, William, Jr., June, Brian, James, Michael and Zoe; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. 

William retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1968 after 21 years.  He was a paratrooper in a Combat Control Team in the 63rd Aerial Post Sqdn. At Norton AFB. He was life-member of the American Legion Post 497 in Bloomington.  Memorial Services were at Green Acres Mortuary, Wed., Sept. 14th, 2005
